Winter Battlefield - WIPby ~bluemattersoda

Just a fanart of Battlefield 2142 which I never finished. Well, here's to unfinished art!!

anyhow, I was working on a new process to digital painting with this piece, which was to use grey tones to draw the picture, with detail, and then adding light coatings of colour and more detail. Kinda like Ryan Church.

But it failed. Epically. It just doubled the amount od time used to paint, with no real technical improvement.

anyhow, as you can see, I never really finished the detailing, though some bits are already finished. The hand and gun in the foreground obviously never got into the whole colouring stage.

thanks for the comment, but sorry, no i probably won't be doing more 2142 stuff. I'm trying to concentrate on original concepts. But doing fanart is great technical practice, so there's probably still room for fanart and tributes! Thanks for stopping by!

Lol true, or u could use the idea and redo it. Id probably do it in a kinda more film aspect kinda ratio. with the hand up front. U know like the first person sequence in the Doom movie?it is a cool idea. I never actually played 2142 before.
